Baby Names – Zoe, Bella, Tanner and More March 16, 2009

I love dreaming up baby names. I loved it when having my own babies, and I love it now, even though I plan to never pop out any more pumpkins (and mine really were kind of like pumpkins, each one weighing in at more than 10 pounds). It doesn’t matter, though, that I will no longer name any of my own offspring. I can always name other people’s kids. Not sure they’ll put on their little ones’ birth certificates what I choose, but I’m hoping that my friend, who just learned she’s having two babies, will consider my all time faves.

For girls, there’s Zoe, Maddie, Bella, Ella, Ellie, Becca and Marley (or Carly or Harley or any other cute-sounding rhyme). For boys, well, there’s not as many, but I tried to get my sister on board with Tanner. She was saved by the two little girls who arrived on her delivery days (Jordan and Tori, by the way). I also like Tucker, Cooper and Cody. Hubby said no way to these when our boys were born. Joseph and Daniel were the winners. Nothing but traditional for John.

“CafeMom” names the top 10 girl and boy names (Aiden and Emma score highest honors) and offers a name-finding tool and a baby name poll too. Check it all out over here.
