Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you and your kids wearing green today? Good. Now see if you can infuse the color into your every move, every day. We think you’ll be a whole lot healthier if you do. Our planet will be happier too. Here, some suggestions for living in the green.

  • Eat your greens. Take your pick — there’s broccoli, spinach, avocado, Brussels sprouts, kale and more. Start your kids early on veggies. That way, they just might like them as they grow up.
  • Play in the grass. OK, the grass might not be too green this time of they year, but the point is this: Get outdoors and play. The fresh air, the exercise and the freedom to roam will do you and your little tikes a world of good.
  • Grow a garden. Merge the two — vegetable and the outdoors — and start planning a veggie garden.
  • Dance an Irish Jig. Dancing can boost your flexibility, strength, endurance and well-being. It can burn a mean calorie too. Let your kids see you dance. Then invite them to join in on the fun.

Help us add to our list — what ideas do you have for using green in your life?
