What to Do This Summer – Free Movies May 27, 2009
In my city, one local Regal cinema offers a Free Family Film Festival every summer. For nine weeks, two different movies are available each week at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Granted, they’re reruns (this year, we’re getting Spiderwick Chronicles, Water Horse, Bee Movie, Kung Fu Panda and more), but, hey, they’re free, and that makes them pretty darn exciting in our house.
You should call your Regal cinemas and see if this type of freebie is available where you live. It’s a cheap way to spend two mornings each week, and the concession folks even offer some kiddie snacks (small portion of popcorn, mini candy and drink) that won’t break your bank. And you could always go the healthier route and pack a bag of grapes and a bottle of water.
What cheap summer tricks do you have up your sleeve?
