Newborn twins Alijah and Tatiana are each going to get a baby rag quilt from me, and I have to say, this security blanket just might be my favorite baby gift of all time. I mean, there are lots of beauties over at Little Sassy Pants, and I’ve been know to order bundles of personalized burp cloths, but I am currently enamored by this snugglie, which comes in a variety of sizes and colors. How can you not love them?

Are you even aware of all the product recalls out there? Not me. But there are plenty, and you can track down a bunch of them at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Lately, some Maclaren strollers have been recalled, due to a hinge that has reportedly severed some kid fingertips. Ouch. Here’s the scoop. Adventure Playsets are also on the recall list, and Children’s Art Easels are, too.

With summer comes mosquitoes. Lots and lots of mosquitoes. And I swear, each and every one will hunt me down and pierce my tender skin during the next few months. Much of the population has found me already, in fact, and I have itchy welts all over my body to prove it. I hate mosquitoes.

Obviously, I’m in the market for some bug spray — I really need to add it to the bag of gear I’ll be lugging to the baseball fields this summer — and I’m hoping to find something that doesn’t smell like, well, bug spray.

Tell me what’s worked for you, so I can try it and see if it works for me. And if you have any clever cures for treating the bites I’ve already got, please share.
