Teens who get less than 6.5 hours of sleep per night are more than twice as likely to have high blood pressure, according to a study from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Don’t just head your kid to bed without any prep, though. An hour before sending them to snooze, have them shut down all electronics and turn off all bright overhead lights. It will set the tone for soothing slumber — and a heart-healthy life.

How much sleep do you kids get? And how do you help them wind down for a good night’s rest?
