Clearly, teachers deserve appreciation every day for shaping the little (and big) minds of the world, but it is also fun to splurge a little during National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8, 2015) and show them just how deep our gratitude goes. Any by splurge, we do not mean forking over bundles of cash on extravagant gifts; we think educators are happy with our best efforts at affordable, crafty, DIY tokens of love. And there is no shortage of ideas. We found free online printables (just add a gift card or a candy bar)—50 of them here and 35+ here. We landed on some cheap and easy gift ideas here. There is always baking (think cookies and muffins). And, of course, Pinterest is loaded with super-fantastic inspiration. Just search teacher appreciation, keep calm, and browse away. If YOU have any fabulous guidance for how to let teachers know we care, please share in the comments.
